Spring Break!

Well....it is finally here! Spring Break 2011! Only, I am unlike most college students who are loading up and heading to the nearest beach, I am spending it with my puppies and Brian at home, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love the simple things that life has to offer. The smell of honeysuckle that is growing nearby, the way my puppies appear to understand what I am saying to them by tilting their cute little heads, the smile that appears on his face when he looks at me, admiring the trees, flowers and the rest of God's creations while taking walks down my road. There are so many people nowadays that get so caught up in a lifestyle that is nothing but rush, rush rush, that they tend to forget that some of the things that can make you the most happy are the things that you tend to take for granted. Life is so precious. Please don't rush it. Make the absolute most of it! Tell your friends and family what they mean to you, tell them that you love them and how grateful you are to have them in your life. I know that it sounds so cliche' but it is so true. I have just found myself getting caught up in some things that are not healthy for me. (spiritually, emotionally and physically) so, I am making a vow to myself today that I am going to be more positive, honest, and more like the person that God wants me to be. I am tired of struggling with it, and I am handing the reigns over to Him. He knows what He is doing, and I should not ask questions.  I am no saint, and don't try to be one. I know my Faith, and I am a believer, He is my Savior and I am saved because of Him.  Struggles are going to happen to everyone throughout their lives, and I know that there are more to come, I just rest easy knowing that He is on my side. I am working on being a "faith" driven person, rather than a "fear" driven person. I think we all should!
